Would you like to explore the Dutch student life? The University of Amsterdam provide a chance to compete Amsterdam Excellence funding in the session 2020-2021.

The university offers a groundbreaking new scholarship program to students from outside Europe with exceptionally talented teachers.

Host College/University:

The University of Amsterdam is the biggest university in the Netherlands. It has the widest selection of degree programs available. UvA tries to recruit the best students in the world from outside the EU / EEA who can qualify for a Amsterdam Merit Scholarship.

The university is one of the top 100 universities internationally and is one of the top 15 universities in Europe. It provides an exciting educational workplace as well as growth and training opportunities

Degree level:

Masters degree plan.

Field of Study:

The grant will be granted in any university’s degree subject.

Scholarship Award: 

The Amsterdam Excellence Scholarship is a funded € 25,000 grant for one academic year’s college expenses.

Nationalities:

For this program, international students may apply.

Eligibility Criteria:

The entry requirements are as follows;

  • Non Europe graduates from any practice who have obtained the top 10% of their class may apply.
  • Preference is based on academic achievement, motivation and the importance of the Master’s program to the future career of a candidate.
  • There is the chance of an extend for a second year for two-year Master courses. Stipend applicants are part of a select group participating, for example, in specially designed extracurricular activities for them.

Applying procedure Instructions:

The following recommendations are intended for candidates who wish to apply for scholarships:

  • Candidates must be admitted to class. Students will probably be considered for this application grant after this procedure.
  • All participants must send all their past documents, academic credentials  and certification.
  • Candidates should prove their English language skills (IELS / TOEFL): TOEFL (web-based) – a total grade of 100 (with a minimum grade of 22 in each of the components), IELTS (academic) – a total grade of 7.0 (with at least 7.0 at each of the four modules)
