Scholarship Description:

The University of Newcastle is encouraging students to become a part of the FEBE Global Engineering and Technology postgraduate placements for the academic year 2020-2021. The grant is exclusively open for both domestic and international students.

The aim of the funding program is to support highly motivated students proceeding to the Professional Years of the Postgraduate degree.

Host College/University:

The University of Newcastle was founded in 1965 as an Australian public university and stands as a global leader with a dedication to equity and professionalism.

Learners will strengthen their key values and gain great knowledge and skills for professional careers as well.

Degree level:

Postgraduate degree plan.

Field of Study:

The studentships are granted to pursue a postgraduate degree in Engineering and Technology.

Scholarship Award: 

The total grant value varies from $6000 to $18,000 over the program’s full three-year period, which will be allocated as follows based on the GPA of the scholar;

  • Tier 1 – GPA 5.5 at entry. For Semester-based programs this is AUD$750 per 10 credit points; for Trimester-based programs: AUD$667 per 10 credit points.
  • Tier 2 – GPA 5 at entry. For Semester-based programs this is AUD$500 per 10 credit points; for Trimester-based programs: AUD$444 per 10 credit points.
  • Tier 3 – GPA 4.5 at entry. For Semester-based programs this is AUD$250 per 10 credit points; for Trimester-based programs AUD$222 per 10 credit points.

Nationalities:

Applicants from all nationalities are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria:

The conditions for qualification are as follows;

  • Applicants will have to take enrollment to a doctoral degree at the University of Newcastle before submitting the application for the opportunity.
  • Applicants must be an foreign student who is paid the full payment.
  • Applicants must comply with tiered entry level GPA criteria (minimum GPA of 4.5).
  • In a current or previous research, Applicant do not retain any other funding comparable or more significant gain for the same plan.
  • With the exception of FEBE International Alumni and Family Scholarships, Applicant do not earn any other FEBE Fee Waiver Scholarships.

To applicants wishing to apply to scholarships, the following application guidance is intended:

  • Applicants will have to take admission to a doctoral degree at the University of Newcastle before submitting the application for this education award.
  • Applicants must send transcript copies, statement of intent, letter of reasons, letter of recommendation and CV.
  • Applicants must review the institution’s entrance criteria to be considered for the award.
  • Applicants should fulfill the university’s English language standards in order to attend university.
