Scholarship Description:
Applications are being accepted from outstanding students for the Nitori International Foundation Grant. The study program is offered by University of Tokyo for the session 2020/21.
This studentship is open for international students and has the purpose of providing financial support to candidates in this research program at University of Tokyo.
Host College/University:
Established in 1877, the University of Tokyo merged two best academic centers named the Tokyo Kaisei School and the Tokyo Medical School. It operates a broad range of lucrative degree degree courses that help students educationally grow.

The masters or doctoral degree programs will be awarded in any subject offered by the university.
Scholarship Award:
This fund’s total value is 80,000 JPY / month which will help students in covering educational expenses.

Students from all nationalities are eligible.
Eligibility Criteria:
The conditions for qualification are as follows;
- Applicants will have to take enrollment to a masters or doctoral degree at the University of Tokyo before submitting the application for the opportunity.
- Applicants of non-Japanese nationality who will have visit visa for ‘college students’ as of October 1 , 2020, and will show up their residence in Japan.
- Applicants must have reasonable sufficient fitness to pursue Japanese studies, with outstanding education experience, with strong personality.
- Applicants must have capability to communicate in Japanese.
- Applicants that are required to attend NISF Scholarship Students Activities.

To applicants wishing to apply to scholarships, the following application guidance is intended:
- Applicants will have to take admission to a masters or doctoral degree at the University of Tokyo. Applicants are automatically considered for this award of education after being enrolled.
- Applicants must submit a CV, academic certificates, and transcripts with their applications.
- Applicants must review the institution’s entrance criteria to be considered for the award.
- The university accepts TOEFL (iBT) with the Majority of its courses 90, IELTS with a band score of 6.5, or Cambridge English Qualifications.
