Position: Event Merchandiser
Key purpose of Event Merchandiser role is to be the custodian of all event related activities. This includes overseeing and executing events, recruiting new events, implement new strategy and safety (5s) programs. The events merchandiser is the support between other commercial field sales team and the marketing/ trade marketing team. They will be required to provide real time feedback on insights, activities and competitor information and be able to execute and coordinate events with designated channel, organizer for any events related activity.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop merchandising strategies that meets consumers expectations and company’s objectives
- Collaborate with event organizer, buyers and suppliers, distributers to negotiate prices, quantities and time scale based on nature of events
- Maximize customers interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately based on nature of events
- Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, and clear outs
- Build constructive customer relationships and support channel partners e.g. commercial
- Produce layout plans for stores and maintain 5s and inventory
- Remain up to date with industry’s best practices and standards
- Control and monitor event equipment movement and stock
- Plan execution quality in merchandising and promotion
Qualifications & Experience:
- University/Bachelor’s degree in marketing and any other business-related field
- Experience within Sales is preferable however not a requirement, minimum 3 years work experience • Proficiency in English essential
- Advanced computer skills with specific reference to Excel and PowerPoint
- Must possess a valid driving license
- Experience working in large teams is an added advantage Critical skills needed for success in this position

- English and Local language (if applied) as the working language, other languages are an advantage
